SHAUN GROVES TOPS SOUNDSCAN CHART WITH WHITE FLAG...........

Rocketown recording artist Shaun Groves entered today's SoundScan Christian retail charts at No. 1 with more than 4,000 units sold on the street week release of his third studio album, White Flag, marking Groves' highest first week of sales to date. Groves' position atop the SoundScan Christian retail chart also signals the first No. 1-selling album in the nine-year history of Rocketown Records.

The strong sales debut of White Flag reflects the overwhelmingly positive impression Groves' self-produced effort is making on consumers and critics alike:

"In a rock & roll world that is often swagger over substance, Shaun Groves chooses to spotlight a sermon - nuggets from the Beatitudes - on his latest release White Flag. The result is Shaun's best record to date - sure to plant a few seeds and spawn a few hits." -CCM magazine

"Shaun Groves has managed to pour his personal growth and spiritual insights into the form of twelve contagious songs that will inspire and challenge the listener. Taking the helm as producer for the first time as well, Groves fills the role without missing a beat. White Flag is yet another step forward for an artist with a gift for relating to his audience and teaching practical lessons. This release is not to be missed as it's easily one of the more important albums this year." -CMCentral.com

As consumers and retailers feel the impact of White Flag, radio programmers and listeners are showing their devotion to the album’s debut single, "Bless the Lord." Currently at No. 22 on R&R's Adult Contemporary Indicator chart, "Bless the Lord" continues to gain momentum and spins as its timely lyrics hit home.

"'Bless the Lord' sounds great on the radio," said Dave Burdue from KZKZ/Ft. Smith, Arkansas. "And the lyrics draw you to the perfect place, blessing and praising the Lord. That's what it all comes down to - honoring Jesus for who He is. Thanks for the reminder, Shaun!"
